AIOCS’ founding director, Doru Costache, has recently become the first-ever winner of the Selby Old Fellowship in Religious History of the Orthodox Christian Faith at the University of Sydney.
He was awarded this one-year, part-time (three days/week) fellowship in order to pursue research for two of his current projects, namely, Maximus the Confessor’s “theory of everything” and the occurrence of zodiacal motifs in Byzantine and post-Byzantine iconography.
He will conduct research both within the premises of the university’s prestigious Fisher Library and remotely.
