John Paul II Institute Round Table

9 November 2017

AIOCS’ founder, Doru Costache, participated in a round table, Chalcedonian Christology: Ecclesial and Intellectual Legacy, organised by Associate Professor Adam Cooper at John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family, Melbourne. The other speaker at the round table was Dr Matthew Crawford, from Australian Catholic University, Melbourne.

The discussion extended to almost three hours, on topics from the historical circumstances before and during the Council of Chalcedon, the theological and hermeneutical traditions influential at the time, the reception of the council’s decisions in the Middle Ages, and the impact of these decisions on the liturgy of the Church.
